It's that time again, yabba-dabba-do, woo-hoo! It's the Mello Hippo Disco Show!

The Mello Hippo Disco Show is a multi-media concept designed by The Future Sound Of London. The Broadsnout company were commissioned to develop the TV and Internet section, whilst there are Audio shows done by the boys themselves.

One of the Amorphous Androgynous tracks from 'The Isness' is called The Mello Hippo Disco Show, and is due for release on its own 8 track remix EP on November 11th, 2002.

    show


the hottest, zaniest, goofiest screwball
show to be blasted across the cosmos
for several light years

coming from a deserted lost cosmic
pulsar rotating around a low mass
star in the cul-de-sac of a universe
behind the sofa of a rented semi
detached house in the more salubrious
bohemian quarter of
the galaxial pharmaceutical
the shows are presented/prevented by
    one man band of cosmos
who has nothing to keep him company
but a stack of records
an orgone accumulator
a genetically modified
mello hippo
and his subconscious personalities
which continually bombard him-
bemusing,irritating and intriguing him
simultaneously
as they chatter like a radio that he can't
turn off
As he talks to the records bombarded
by
these contradictory voices that
besiege him from within?without?
he is able to
connect via the orgone accumulator
to
the cosmic ether and thus channel
voices,ideas,sounds and
environments
that are suspended there
-thus a kind of cosmic
travelog unfolds
in which one man band of cosmos
sets the controls for the heart of the
soul and then lies back and
revels in
whatever the universe throws his way
occasionally they chance upon other
oddballs and radicals who
have taken the
same cosmic highway by chance
they rest and chew the cud a while-
sometimes the hippo will go out in
search of entertainment and will return
at the helm of a rowing boat with
